Description

Tetrataenia surinama is a 30 to 40 mm large locust native to South America.
In a well-ventilated terrarium, keep the humidity to 60 – 80% and the temperature 22 – 28 ° C by dew. All stages accept blackberry, raspberry, hazel, oak and privet very well. Females lay eggs in a substrate (a mixture of peat or lignocel with sand) and at the indicated temperature, the nymphs hatch after about 3 months. Keep the egg substrate moist. Hatched nymphs are very small and easily run away by small cracks or too sparse mesh.
